Bio
Jackie’s work is extensively inspired by the beauty and history of the Hebridean Islands. The sea, the sky and landscape. Also the life and reality of the hardships and materials to hand which is reflected in her stonewear. Previous works include interior centre pieces and scene setting for restaurant image creation. She loves the diversity of working with clay. She is unrestrained with designs and ideas and her style is driven by visual interest which can appear at any moment and from any where.
The work is all original and unique.
Jackie has recently shown work in the Coburg Gallery Leith in Edinburgh.
More recently Jackie's work has featured in The Hebridean Bakers cook book “At Home”.
This year Interior design company “Wish Interior Architecture London” has chosen to incorporate work from Jackie’s portfolio to feature in a new hotel which will open in Edinburgh in October.
It is obvious that Scottish Heritage is important to her and seeking inspiration from other countries adds to the mix of styles she is busy experimenting with.
Historical dramatic scene setting pieces can also be designed.
Exploring diverse cultural styles and adding her own unique twist and materials to ancient techniques. Personalising pieces to suit clients requirements is a service Jackie is happy to provide .
